Lactation

Path G 15mg/2mg Capsule is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.Monitoring of the breastfed infant's blood glucose is advisable during maternal therapy with Path G 15mg/2mg Capsule

Driving

Your ability to drive may be affected if your blood sugar is low or high. If this happens, do not drive.

Kidney
CAUTION

Path G 15mg/2mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Path G 15mg/2mg Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Path G 15mg/2mg Capsule is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. These patients can experience very low blood sugar levels which may become normal after a long time.

How to use Path G Capsule
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Path G 15mg/2mg Capsule is to be taken with food.

How Path G 15mg/2mg Capsule works
Path G 15mg/2mg Capsule is a combination of two antidiabetic medicines: Pioglitazone and glimepiride. Pioglitazone is a thiazolidinedione which works by increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin. Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea which works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas in order to lower the blood glucose. Together, they provide better control of blood sugar.

Side Effects:

Common Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level), Edema, Anemia, Weight gain, Upper respiratory tract infection, Bone fracture, Blurred vision.
